The Strathcona Christian Academy (SCA) Society is seeking a forward thinking and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will fill a very important role in the SCA Society office, as they will be the Society's first point of contact for parents, students, teachers, and the public at large.

Strathcona Christian Academy first opened its doors as vision and outreach ministry of the Sherwood Park Alliance Church in 1980 when the first 347 students were enrolled. The vision was Christian education/training that would not sacrifice excellence in academics, sports, arts and leadership - and this vision has not changed. Over the years, the school evolved and increased in enrollment - until it eventually became a part of Elk Island Public Schools in 1998 as an alternative (Christian) school. The Christian vision is respected and supported by EIPS and has not deviated or compromised since SCA joined the Elk Island Public School system. With the recent completion of a second campus (elementary), SCA has become two school campuses with one vision - Christ-centered education and excellence in all that students can become.
The Strathcona Christian Academy Society (SCA Society) Board acts as a liaison with EIPS and exists to maintain the Christian component of the school curriculum and daily life. Alberta Education and EIPS provide funding for public school initiatives. The need to collect fees, do fundraising, create a budget and administer the Christian component of the school falls onto the SCA Society Board. Our Executive Director co-ordinates and executes our strategic plan for growth, funding, transportation and mission/outreach componetnts of the school. The Board is firmly committed to maintain and grow the Christian component of the two SCA campuses and to hold the direction and vision of the Christian component of SCA at the forefront as the schools continue to grow in the future.
