SCA School Counsellors

Grade 7 & 8 Counsellor - Mrs. Hutlet

Mrs. Hutlet is new to the SCA school community this year. She started her career in the rural communities of Ryley, Vegreville, and she served as the school counsellor at Mundare school for the past four years. She recently graduated with her Masters in School Counselling. She believes each student carries unique passions, strengths, and value that is blessed by God. She loves to elevate students' strengths as they celebrate life's wins, and as they problem solve difficult situations. She also loves coffee, history, and a good laugh!

Grades 9 to 12 Counsellor - Mrs. Matheson

Mrs. Matheson first began working at SCA Secondary School in 2008 as an English teacher. In 2015, she became the school counsellor at SCE, and consequently, she has known many of our students since kindergarten! In 2021 she returned to SCA Secondary as the school counsellor. She is passionate about helping students discover God’s good plans for them and she partners with high school students in ensuring they finish high school well. She also loves coffee and chocolate – she is often seen enjoying both at all times of day :)
