If you are new to the district or a non resident, you can apply to attend SCA at any time. Please follow the registration steps below to apply to Strathcona Christian Academy.
Strathcona Christian Academy Secondary School (SCA) offers an Alternative Christian program within Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS). Before a student is admitted to SCA, the following three processes are required to be completed:
A: Register with Elk Island Public Schools
All students who wish to attend Strathcona Christian Academy must register through Elk Island Public School’s online registration process.
- If you are a new student to EIPS, please click on the following link to register (open year-round): New Student Registration
- If you are an existing student in EIPS, re-registration for the 2019-20 school year will be open Feb 1-28, 2019. The re-registration form will be available through your Parent Portal. Instructions will be sent out from EIPS in January, 2019.
B: Complete an SCA Alternative Program Information Form (open year-round)
All prospective students are required to complete an online Alternative Program Information Form. Click on the following link to access the alternative program information form.
Alternative program information forms for SCA are accepted throughout the year. Students become part of a pool of potential students and may be contacted for an interview at registration time. Priority will be given to those who currently reside in the EIPS area; however, we do accept students outside of the EIPS district as well.
C: Attend a School Interview
If requested by the SCA Society, families will attend an interview with the school principal. The interview ensures families understand and endorse the school’s mission and vision, and it provides an opportunity for families to ask questions about the school’s programming and philosophy. Only families who attend an interview are considered for admission. Families of all new students accepted into the program will receive a confirmation email after the interview.
